Race guides

How the big fitness races work, station by station. Rep walks you round each arena.

Fitness racing mixes running with functional workouts like sled pushes, rowing, wall balls and heavy lifts, and turns them into an event anyone can enter. Each guide explains one race from start to finish: the format, what happens at every station or zone, the weights for every division, how it's judged and scored, and how people qualify for the championships. Every guide has an interactive pixel-art arena: pick a spot on the floor and Rep shows you what happens there.

HYROX or ATHX Games?

HYROX is one continuous race against the clock: eight 1 km runs, each followed by a workout station, with the same format and weights at every event in the world. It suits runners and anyone who likes a single, steady effort.

ATHX Games splits the day into separate tests with breaks in between: max-effort strength lifts, a run and row for distance, and a final circuit for time. It suits athletes who are strong as well as fit, since heavy lifting is one of the three scored tests.
